Editing Data Source

2.6.1

Elements

Step 1

To edit Elements, click on the three dots of the Element and click “Edit”.

The Sidebar opens to the Geometry tab of the Element.

Next to some of the Value Fields there is an icon, this is the Data Source for this value.

Step 2

Click on the icon to change between BIM, Actually and Manual.

The BIM Value is the value uploaded from the IFC File.

The Actually Value is the best estimate from the data.

The Manual Value is whatever you’d like to set.

The calculations will correspond to this change.

Step 3

Under the Performance Tab of the Element Edit Menu, aspects related to Building Performance can be controlled. These metrics are different for different Categories.

2.6.2

Components

Step 1

To edit Components, click on the three dots of a Component and click “Edit.”

Once open the Edit Menu opens to Product Properties.

Next to some of the Value Fields there is an icon, this is the Data Source for this Value.

Step 2

Click on the icon to change between BIM, Actually and Manual.

The BIM Value is the value uploaded from the IFC File.

The Actually Value is the best estimate from the data.

The Manual Value is whatever you’d like to set.

Step 3

The Cost Tab in the Components Edit Menu allows for the manual setting of some Cost Setting parameters, including Material Supply Rate, Waste, Margin on Materials, Labour Constant, Trade, Labour Rate and Extra Labour. The totals will calculate according to those settings.

Step 4

The Life Cycle Tab in the Components Edit Menu allows for the manual setting of some Life Cycle Setting parameters which contribute to Environmental Results. It is structured by environmental module in some areas. If you happen to know better specific information for your project, you can enter the data manually.
