In the Exterior Doors and Windows Category - Door, Skylight and Window Elements can be edited or created manually if a BIM has not been loaded. Exterior Doors and Windows are added as Openings to Exterior Walls.
Open the Exterior Walls Category.
Click on the three dots of the First Wall Element.
Click “Edit.”
Click the “Opening” tab.
Note: Actually automatically deducts the Area of an Opening from the wall area when performing all calculations.
To add an opening, hover over “Add Opening” in the Edit Element menu.
Select the Door or Window to be placed from the list.
Openings can be edited by hovering over the added opening and adjusting the geometry.
If adding Elements manually, create the Doors or Windows in the Exterior Doors and Windows Category so they are available.
Note: setting the quantity of openings, when a Door or Window is placed into a Wall, will impact the quantity of Doors or Windows within the doors and windows category.
