Spaces tell Actually how large a building is and provide the volume for Building Performance Calculations.
Select the “Zone Tool” and pick the “Actually Space” Favourite.
Select the desired “Zone Category” from the drop-down menu.
Select the desired “Space” from the “Name” drop-down menu, under the “Zone Name and Number” header.
Set the “Construction Method” to “Reference Line” to automatically detect rooms.
Note: Sometimes the “Reference Line” method is not able to automatically detect rooms, so Space selection is necessary using another manual construction method. This method is also needed for open plan areas where no walls divide the Space.
Click in the Space to place the label and the “Zone Tool” will calculate the area.
Repeat these contents for the next Space by changing the “Zone Name and Number” settings.
Note: It is critical to use one of the Space Names provided by Actually. You cannot create your own names for Spaces.
