Report Generating

3.3.1

Step 1

To Generate a Report, click “Project Actions”.

Click “Create Report,” or use the “Create Report” button in the top panel.

For the report, there are five sections to work through.

3.3.2

Setup

The first is Setup.

Step 1

In the Setup area, confirm the Design Phase of the project, input Design Company information and the Reference Name for the set of drawings that will accompany the report.

Step 2

Set the Date of the Drawings to correspond with the Drawing Set and the Version Number.

Click “Next.”

3.3.3

Envelopes

The second section is Envelopes.

Step 1

Actually compares various Elements of the building design and reports inconsistencies e.g. a difference between the Ceiling and Floor areas.

If the model is correct, simply pick the reason why it is correct from the Reason List.

If an error is spotted, click “Resolve” to minimise the reporting window, then make the necessary changes.

Step 2

Once the changes have been made click the Minimised Actually Report Icon at the bottom of the screen to resume the reporting steps.

Click “Next”.

3.3.4

Quantities

In the Quantities section, Actually compares Modelled Element Quantities against Statistical Quantities anticipated for each Element.

Step 1

If the Quantities are less than expected the difference is noted. In each case where there is a difference select the reason why from the Reason List. You can do this at the Category or Element Level.

Reasons given could be that you have Design to Minimise the quantities, you have Yet to Model the Elements, the Elements are Existing for this project, you have Omitted that Element, you wish to use a Statistical Allowance, or it is Not Relevant.

Selections made in each case have an impact on the reporting. For instance, if a reason for the difference is that you are Yet to Model that Element, it will be shown as an Allowance in the Cost and Carbon sections of the report.

Likewise, if you set the reason to be Existing, the predicted Element Quantity will show up in the Existing Elements Section of the Carbon and Cost reports.

For an Omitted Element, this will be included in the Omissions Section of the report.

If the set reason is Allowance this will show up in the Allowances Section of the report.

Reasons set at Category Level will influence the reason at Element Level but can be overridden by a selection at Element Level.

Like the previous section, clicking the “Resolve” will minimise the reporting window to allow for changes to be made.

Once changes have been made to the model you can click the minimised Actually Report Icon to resume the reporting steps.

Click “Next.”

3.3.5

In the Content Section of the report tick boxes of content to be included in the final report.
