Classification

5.2.1

Classifying Elements

For Actually to correctly identify each Element within a design each Element needs to be Classified.

Step 1

Select the build Element(s) to classify and navigate to the Interoperability Tools tab of the top ribbon.

With the Element(s) selected, in the Standardized Data section, select “Assign Classification”.

Step 2

Select the bottom tab of the window.

Click on the correct Classification for your selected Element in the Actually App Classifications.

Step 3

Click “Close” and repeat with all Element types.

Note: To reclassify an Element, or Room in the case that it was incorrectly classified, the Actually Element Name field in the Properties Side Panel needs to be manually cleared before repeating the “Assign Classification” step to assign the correct Classification.

5.2.2

Classifying Rooms | Spaces

Step 1

Repeat the above process for all Rooms / Spaces by first selecting the Room. To do this select one of the two diagonal lines within the Room Boundary, and not the Room Boundary Name.

With the Room selected, in the Standardized Data section, select “Assign Classification”.

Step 2

Select the bottom tab of this window.

Click the correct Classification for your selected Room in the Actually App Classifications using the “capitalized”, “lower case”, or “uppercase” formatting, depending on your office’s preference.

Step 3

Click “Close” and repeat for all Rooms.

Note: To reclassify an Element or Room in the case that it was incorrectly classified, the Actually Space Name field in the Properties Side Panel need to be manually cleared before repeating the “Assign Classification” step to assign the correct Classification. This can be achieved for multiple Elements at the same time.
